With an appeal for immediate prayer to avert a possible famine, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, has lamented the increasing cost of gasoline in Nigeria.
Speaking during the blessing of a new gas station in Abakpa, Enugu East Local Government Area, Blessed Omemma Oil and Gas Limited, Mbaka warned that a famine crisis might ensue if the country’s food supply is not improved.
He stressed the significance of collective prayer in finding a solution to the fuel price hike and encouraged the government to take prompt action.
The cleric further warned that Nigerian currency will continue to lose value if saved in banks and instead encouraged the people to invest.
More prayers are needed for Nigeria’s recovery; the current crisis is hunger, but famine is a real possibility if we aren’t vigilant.
“I urge individuals to prudently invest their funds; refrain from depositing them in banks where they will continue to lose value,” Mbaka admonished.
“The government knows what they need to do about the fuel hike,” he further observed. I stress the importance of prayer because it is one of their solutions that can overcome these harmful surroundings.
